About Me
Godhuli Chatterjee Gupta is a first-generation South Asian American writer with a combined expertise in strategic communications and creative writing. Her poetry explore the trials of motherhood, the immigrant experience, cultural duality, and reclaiming your heritage and identity.
Godhuli is a former “third culture kid” who has grown up in six countries around the world and currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago raising her two children with her husband. She attributes her love of poetry to her Bengali immigrant parents, who immersed her childhood with art, theater, film, and culture. Her colorful upbringing gives her a unique perspective on identity, language, borders, family, and relationships.
Godhuli has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
